My Books

Love for the Cold-Blooded. Or: The Part-Time Evil Minion’s Guide to Accidentally Dating a Superhero.

Superheroes. Evil minions. And one hell of a conflict of interest.

“Love for the Cold-Blooded” is a light-hearted jaunt through a world of superheroes and villains, android dolphins, mind control rays, eldritch artifacts stolen from the tombs of ancient gods, and young men loving not wisely, but well.

Learning How to Lose, in Six Easy Steps

It’s not that Ryuu’s a bad loser – he just wants things to be in order. And in the natural order of the universe, he should not be losing to dorks.

A slow-burning, red-hot gay romance in three volumes, set in the world of Japanese pop idols. “Learning How to Lose” is a lively tale of boybands, silly bets and challenges, horrible puns, concerts, video games, basketball, identifying too deeply with a samurai and a swordsmith… and most importantly: of two very different young men redefining their lives for each other.

A novel in three volumes and six (easy) steps.

First Contact

Going undercover in a gay BDSM club run by the mob isn’t Rick Delaney’s idea of a good time – but for all the wrong reasons.

Steamy gay romance “First Contact” features bondage, dominance and submission, public sex, and gay mafiosi in leather and chains… and an unfolding relationship between undercover cops who are in way over their heads.

Hi there! I absolutely adored First Contact, and was wondering if you’re planning on furthering the novella into future installments? I keep looking…and hoping! The characters were beautifully flawed, the erotica was stunning, and I’d love to see how they move forward, both as a pair and undercover within the club.

Hi ckclontz – thank you for checkin in with me! I am very glad that First Contact works so well for you… and it’s particularly wonderful to hear that you liked the flawed characters – always my main focus! – and the erotica. 🙂

You’re absolutely right that the story’s ending is very open and would do well with a sequel. I’m afraid I can’t give you a satisfactory answer on the question of when or if there will be one, though. While I do have a number of key plot elements all laid out in my head, I also have three novel-length projects on my plate, and am not a fast writer. I can’t even guarantee the First Contact sequel will be fourth on my to-do list, because I am weak to sudden bouts of inspiration!

It’s good – and very inspiring! – to know that you’re interested and would like to read a sequel, though. Never say never! If I have my way, there will be a sequel eventually, although I’m afraid the wait will definitely be a long one.

      Thank you for writing!

Would love to see more books like Love for the Cold-blooded. Original concept, well-executed plot, and most importantly, highly entertaining. Growing up, I always had crushes on certain comic book/video game characters, and your book took me right back there. I loved the light-hearted tone, and your use of comic book tropes felt like an homage instead of mockery, which really tied everything together.

Hi, I just finished reading Love for the Cold-Blooded and I could not put it down. Your writing is amazing. It’s so hard to find romantic erotica that is also funny and unique! I loved the relationship between Nick and Pat and how it defied the normal cliches. So many books drag out the betrayal for too long and I felt you handled it in such a manner that kept the tension without being drawn out. I also loved the action scenes. Again, so many of these types of books kind of gloss over the action parts and phone in those final battles (I’ve read a ton of those vampire/werewolf stories…I’m sure you know what I mean). The battle at the end was epic as well as funny. I hope you write more books in that universe, I would love to read more superhero/villain hijinks. It’s so hard to find really good superhero/villain romance novels!

I loved reading Love for the Cold-Blooded. Will you be doing a sequel? Still Waters was also excellent. Keep up the hard work.

Hello hey hi Dear Author, I’m just dropping by to tell you I love your work. I have read everything you have here, and some you don’t (Still Waters, my beloved, and also Mirror, Mirror, which I only found out about TODAY). I adore them, especially Love for the cold-blooded, which I reread obsessively and it became my life’s mission to make friends, enemies and innocent passersby read it. I love them all, and hunger for more.

So yes. Thank you for everything you have written so far, and I (selfishly) wish you lots of inspiration for many many more to come!

Just wanted to drop you a note: Love for the Cold Blooded is one of my favorite novels, and I read it every year, just for the laughs and warm fuzzies. Given the current superhero renaissance in the MCU, the genre desperately needs such a hilarious send up to keep from taking itself too seriously. I reviewed the book on Goodreads after I first read it. Here’s a link, if you’re interested: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1276436629

Love for the Cold-Blooded was fantastic. Is there any chance there will be future books in that universe? I recognize that it’s unlikely, given that it came out over a decade ago, and it appears to be the most recent book published. Oh well. A girl can dream
